Fumaric Acid Saturated Acetone

Fumaric Acid Saturated Acetone (FASA) is a solution of acid and [1]. This is used to precipitate DMT out of acetone, [2] and [3]. This turns the freebase DMT into [DMT Fumarate|DMT Fumarate], which is a salt. 309mg of fumaric acid is needed to salt 1 gram of DMT. This can be taken orally, has a long shelf life and cleans your extracted crystals of impurities.

Guide

Here is a guide to create DMT Fumarate:

1. Dissolve 1000mg of freebase DMT in 50ml of acetone.
2. Dissolve 350mg fumaric acid in a separate 50ml of acetone(yes you only need 309 but you can't really use too much).
3. Once the fumaric acid and DMT have been absorbed by the solution, combine the FASA(fumaric acid saturated acetone) with the DMT saturated acetone.
4. The combined liquids will cloud immediately and start forming DMT Fumarate which then drops out of the solution. Stir the acetone until no more precipitation is seen.
5. For good measure add just a bit more FASA and if you do not see any clouding, all of your salted DMT is out of the solution.
6. Pour off acetone from settled crystals, being careful to keep them in the container.
7. Stir up the crystals to release any excess acetone and pour that off carefully.
8. Let your DMT Fumarate dry completely. Then enjoy!

• Optional - You can then wash your DMT Fumarate with more clean acetone to remove any residual fumaric acid. Or, if precipitated out of xylene or toluene the acetone wash helps remove any residual xylene or toluene.
