General Plant Info

Acacia oxycedrus (Spike Wattle) is an erect or spreading shrub which is endemic to Australia.[2]

Geographic distribution

The species occurs on sandy soil in dry sclerophyll forest or heath in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

Flowers are cylindrical and bright yellow to pale yellow, appearing in groups of 1 to 3 in the axils of the phyllodes from July to October. Pods are straight or slightly curved which are 4 to 10 cm long and 3 to 6 mm wide.

Alkaloid content

0.4-0.5% alkaloid stem-bark DMT-like effects [Nen888, dmt-nexus.me]

Extraction

Other uses

Cultivation

Seed germination: Seeds have shown higher germination rate with simply planting seeds into the soil, no boiled water treatment or nicking necessary
