Geographic distribution
Israel, Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, North and East Africa. Introduced to India and Pakistan.
Identification
It is a thorny tree; leaves bipinnate; flowers wide cream-yellow rods 2-5cm; pods spiral/coiled c.1cm wide.
Alkaloid content
- unquantified amount DMT (Shulgin, TIKHAL 1996)
- anecdotal reports of tryptamines in Israel.
