Overview

4-Fluoroamphetamine (4-FA; 4-FMP; PAL-303; "Flux"), also known as para-fluoroamphetamine (PFA) is a psychoactive research chemical of the phenethylamine and substituted amphetamine chemical classes. It produces stimulant and entactogenic effects.

As a recreational drug, 4-FA is sometimes sold along with related compounds such as 2-fluoroamphetamine and 4-fluoromethamphetamine.

Dose

Threshold 10 - 25mg

Light 25 - 50mg

Common 50 - 100mg

Strong 100 - 150mg

Effects

At lower doses (30mg) gentle stimulation, slight entactogenesis, enhanced senses, feeling of well being.

At normal recreational doses (empirically untested), euphoria, increased energy, desire to be social, etc.


At all doses, anorexia, easier to get distracted, increased focus, desire to talk, and so on.

Potential Dangers

  • Not many studies about it.
  • May accumulate in fatty tissue.
  • High doses, like all stimulants will probably give uncomfortable overstimulation and give the cardiovascular system unecessary strain.
  • Fairly new compound which has not seen a lot of usage. Do not partake unless you want to join the ever-growing army of guinea pigs.
  • There is some compulsion to redose. I cannot imagine this to be a good idea. Amphetamines can be addictive; I strongly suggest you do NOT convince yourself that redosing or taking the substance with any regularity is a good idea. Things will likely end up badly for you.

Neurotoxicity

Unlike 4-CA and 4-BA, 4-FA does not cause long-term depletion of brain serotonin. Little else is known about 4-FA.

Personal observations and commentary

At 30mg I have found no adverse effects at all. There was no hangover, no vasoconstriction, no increase in blood pressure and only a very slight increase in resting heart rate.


You need to keep in mind that like MDMA, this substance is a SRA.

Unlike MDMA, it does not appear to cause any damage - there are scattered reports of (ab)users taking it daily for months. Regardless, it would be very wise to space usage apart by a month at least, and preferably more.


I believe that at normal recreational dosages this one might be a decent replacement for MDMA, and will update the wiki accordingly when/if the time to find out has passed.
