Much of this is taken from HowToForge's article on Ultimate Security Proxy With Tor back in 2008. This article is a bit outdated and it seems necessary to create a quick and easy guide for anyone wanting an extra layer of security.

First Steps

Hardware

• Computer with at least:
  • 1 ghz Processor
  • 1 gig RAM
  • 20 gig Hard drive
• Blank CD
• Tomato Router (Optional)

Software

Privoxy

Tor

Squid

Tomato Router (Optional)

Get a Linksys WRT54GL. (Must be "Open Source Compatible")

Download and flash Tomato 1.28 onto the router.

Create Server

Download the ISO Ubuntu Server 10.04
