		+	With my assessment of the usage of the term reflected in the article, [[Spice]], I have begun a project to differentiate the use of the term as generally referring DMT and many of it's commonly associated alkaloids. Oftentimes, procedures and teks are intended to yield a more purified form of DMT, and the use of 'DMT' in the titles and procedures is necessary to express that. Oftentimes, however, teks and procedures call for the use or extraction of a full-range of alkaloids or can be used interchangeably between more pure DMT and what could simply be referred to as spice, so such teks and procedures should use the term 'spice' for the sake of accuracy.

		+	My understanding of the difference and stratification between the terms is that it's quite similar to that between ecstasy and molly(MDMA), in which 'ecstasy' can refer to molly or a range of impurities alongside molly but not the other way around with ecstasy being called molly; while a crude example, it should illustrate the point.

		+	One example of how the difference can be illustrated is found in [[The_Nexian_DMT_Handbook#Nontoxic_Freebase_Spice_Conversion]] where the first process has been shown to apply to a full range, while the second applies to a far more pure form of spice, effectively and likely composed of pure DMT. The use of 'DMT' as a description need not strictly apply to a substance of known total purity like synthesized DMT, but may be used somewhat loosely in terms of the product obtained by FASA, Heptane, or Naphtha for example where it has generally been demonstrated to contain only trace active impurities or, at most, [[DMT N-Oxide]]. An example of how else the project may be put into effect is found in both [[Amor fati's Nontoxic Approach to Spice Extraction]] and [[Amor fati's Approach to Freebase Spice Conversion]], in which I have taken it upon myself to rename them in order to illustrate that they are intended for a range of DMT-related alkaloids and not pure DMT.
